Stampin’ Up! Winter Fun

Stampin up winter fun 2

I thought I would toss you one more sneak preview of another stamp image from Stampin' Up!'s Scandinavian Season (on the heels of posting my Scandinavian Tree).  I simply love the crispness and versatility of this new Holiday Mini stamp set.  The stamp, rub-ons, felt snowflake and designer paper used for this project will be available for customer order on-line here beginning Oct. 1.

The 4 x 4 card base of Baja Breeze Textured card stock is topped by a dash of Stampin' Up's Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive, Baja Breeze).  The horizontal banner is more Textured Baja Breeze, topped a gorgeous new vintage rub-on set called Old Saint Nick (comes  one sheet each of Whisper White, as shown, or Chocolate Chip).

My marvelous mittens are from Stampin' Up!'s Scandinavian Season, dipped in Real Red and stamped on Whisper White.  I snipped them out and propped them up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  They landed on Real Red and Baja Breeze Textured Ovals, shaped by my Big Shot and Oval Nestabilities.

The last detail is a Real Red Button.  TIP:  Cut  a sliver of card stock (Whisper White here) and slip it through button holes to create perfectly coordinated thread.  Flip the "thread" with the tie to the inside and it's a more polished look!

THE PERFECT TOUCH:  Jazz up your cards with coordinating, custom envelopes (4 1/4" x 4 1/4").  I used the flip side of the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper used on the card (don't you love 2-sided paper?) to reveal this luscious red pattern.  I adhered it to the flap, turned it over and snipped away the excess.

And, oh, yes, the new Holiday Mini offers these adorable felt snowflakes (Little Felt Flurries), in different patterns (just like in nature :), sizes and colors (Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and White).  Wonderful on gifts, tags, mini boxes . . . Another Real Red Button and "thread" pull it all together.

Hugs and Pretties . . . . M
