Please don't forget that all Stampin' Up!'s current Hostess Sets (pp. 18-26 Stampin' Up! Spring-Summer Catalog) will be retiring Aug. 10, the day before the big release of the new Fall-Winter catalog (Aug. 11). No need to do a workshop or make a single brownie. Just throw yourself a little party (or team up with a friend or two) to hit the qualifying purchases, and reap the benefits of free stamp sets and hostess rewards–plus I personally offer free shipping with on-line product orders over $99. Better yet, Stampin' Up! is offering a June hostess bonus.
"For a Friend" has been by far the most popular Hostess set among my customers. The six stamps are fresh, simple and versatile (thank you, baby, birthday, friend). I began today's card by stamping the "thank you" flower in Ruby Red on Very Vanilla card stock. It was die cut and embossed using Nestabilities Rectangles. Ruby Red card stock and a scalloped rectangle of Groovy Guava follow (both cut with Nestabilities Rectangles). TIP: I added the Circle Rhinestone Brad after adding the layers, to bury the little legs of the brad.
Today's sketch follows the rules of Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC180. See sketch below. Beneath my main image, I layered a square of Ruby Red over River Rock card stock. Ruby Red receives delicious texture using a Cuttlebug and the D'vine Swirls embossing folder.
The card front is Ruby Red, 4.25 x 5.5 and scored at the top. Stampin' Up!'s Ginger Blossoms Designer Series Paper offers this adorable floral pattern and a layer of River Rock gets sandwiched in between. The Perfect Touches are three Circle Rhinestone Brads, lined up using a Paper Piercer and Template, and a snippet of Groovy Guava Double Stitched Ribbon. TIP: For those of you who are ribbon "challenged" (like me), be sure to check out this Stay Put Bow video. It makes using ribbon a pleasure.
Hugs and Pretties . . . . Mary

Gorgeous card as always, Mary! I tagged you on my blog! Check it out! 🙂
Great card Mary! I love the way you make things “POP” with the colors you use. You inspire me to step outside my monochromatic box! LOL
Very Pretty! Darn I like that river rock. Hope SU replaces it with something like it. By itself, it’s not very attractive, but match it up with other colors or bold dp and it really gives cards depth! Thanks for sharing!
very pretty, loving the color;s, and the cuttle bug’s touch.
Mary, I have been a daily visitor since discovering your site a very few months ago, and you always inspire me SO MUCH! I love SU and I thank you for all your tips and beautiful examples, today’s included! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing all your lovely work.
Wow, I am not attracted to this particular paper but you’ve made it look beautiful in this card. Awesome!!!! Joan
So pretty Mary. I love, love, love this stamp set. It’s one of my favorite hostess sets available. So sorry to see it “retire”…
Simply beautiful! I like the multiple layers on this card and the SU! paper is gorgeous.
Very pretty Mary, and what an excellent bow!
