Stampin’ Up! Retro Spring

Stampin up spring
Groovy, Baby!  These funkalicious colors, flowers and Partridge Family-esque bird are screaming 60's retro.  Today's Perfect Touch, Robin's Nest Dew Drops in Flame are clearly outta this world.

The circle image was stamped with the triple flower from Stampin' Up!'s Spring Solitude set (Basic Black ink).  Using Nestabilities Circles and a Cuttlebug, I cropped it out and added delectable Dew Drops in a palette of pink and yellow colors.  TIP:   A white edge can look bare.  The edges of the circle were sponged in Regal Rose ink to give it a "finished look."  Another crop of the Nestabilities Scallop Circle and the main image was complete.

The horizontal banner's branch was stamped in black.  Using my handy Stamp-a-ma-jig, I landed the Regal Rose bird perfectly on the branch.  It was then layered on YoYo and Regal Rose card stock.

The 4.25 x 5.5 card base is Regal Rose.  YoYo Yellow was embossed using a Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and layered on top.  TIP:  Reminiscent of the Word Window Punch (this is a lovely way to fake it and make it any length you want), the sentiment is a long 3/8" wide strip of Regal Rose, with one end snipped off courtesy of a Corner Rounder Punch.  The Stamp-a-ma-jig got one more chance to shine as I added my "Thank You sentiment in just the right spot.  One more little Dew Drop balanced things out and added a last touch of dazzle.  Far out 🙂
