Stampin’ In Time

Stampin_up_time
I took advantage of another chance to show off the "Time for You" set from the Occasions Mini.  Line images are wonderful for either watercoloring or leaving them simple and clean.  With some surrounding color and designer paper, this charming bench didn't need much dolling up.

The bench was inked in Chocolate Chip and stamped on Very Vanilla card stock.  The little bird came to life with a Real Red marker.  Using my Nestabilities rectangles, I cut the image and embossed in two sweeps with my Cuttlebug.  See the embossed rim around it?  Cool.  I then clipped a layer of Apricot Appeal and a scalloped rectangle of Chocolate Chip, both courtesy of my Nestabilities.  No measuring.  Hooray!  Real Red Brads make this bird really sing 🙂

The 5 x 5 card base is created with Apricot Appeal Textured card stock.  I layered 2 1/4 x 2 1/4" squares of Designer Series Paper on 2 3/8 x 2 3/8" layers of Chocolate Chip card stock.  The Designer Paper is offered in a 6 x 6 pad (Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue, Apricot Appeal, Pretty in Pink, Real Red) and is only available as a Hostess Level I gift.  Definitely an option to consider if you are planning an order with Stampin' Up! for $150 or more.  TIP: Many of my Stampin' Up! customers team up to take advantage of my free shipping offer and hostess benefits.

The sentiment is a double line image from All in a Row.  I thought it gave a sweet border. TIP:  Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig, I easily snuck "always time for you"  in between.   More on using the Stamp-a-ma-jig can be found here.

Have a great weekend.  My niece, a wonderful stamping talent at Kween Bee Kreations, and I are doing a card making marathon tomorrow.  I am so looking forward to it!

  4. I love it. I usually run away from line image stamps, but a few have snuck into my collection. This is a wonderful way to use such stamps without having to gussie them up by coloring in.
