Stampin’ Delight

Stampin_delight
This "delight" sentiment recently arrived along with a definition for every other letter of the alphabet in Stampin' Up!'s Define Your Life stamp set.   Consider "inspire," "remember," or "journey."
Tasteful stuff.  A divine alternative to a typical sentiment.

"Delight" is stamped in Cameo Coral, punched with a Key Tag Punch and edges sponged in Cameo.  I
mounted it with Stampin' Dimensionals to balance it with the main image.
A stick-on rhinestone mirrors the sparkle of the two smaller versions placed in
the top corners.

The card base is Cameo Coral, scored at the top and punched on the bottom with a Corner Rounder Punch.  Using Boho Backgrounds dipped in Creamy Caramel ink, I covered the Creamy Caramel card stock.  TIP:  For some instant depth, I sponged the edges in Creamy Caramel.  I next snapped the top corners with a Ticket Corner Punch and the bottom corners with a Corner Rounder.

The horizontal banner is Mellow Moss, stamped with another choice from the Boho Backgrounds set.  The edges were sponged (Creamy Caramel) and Very Vanilla Ribbon was added to keep the look soft.  TIP:  I often struggle with making ribbon ties and bows from one continuous piece of ribbon that has been wrapped around card stock.  Trying to hold it down and tie at the same time is just too much hassle for me :)   Instead, I wrap the card stock with a single piece of ribbon, create a separate tie or bow and adhere it with a mini glue dot.  I swooped (and need to credit) this trick from Nicole Heady at Papertrey Ink.

Using some fun Papertrey clear stamps, I added some Apricot Appeal flowers followed by Mellow Moss stems to Whisper White card stock.  The image was punched out with a Marvy Mega Scallop Circle Punch.  TIP:  I find it easier to punch after stamping, even when using acrylic stamps.  I just flip the punch over, can see the image, line it up just how I want and crop.

The flower centers were tiny Papertrey stamps inked in Cameo Coral (same card stock) and punched out with a 1/4" Circle Punch.  After a little "re-sizing" of some Stampin' Dimensionals,  I adhered the centers in 3-D fashion.  Each scallop is dotted with a Cameo Coral Marker.  Ahhh, spring delight!

Hugs and Pretties . . . . Mary
