Bouncing Baby Colt

Stamping_baby_boy
My good friend recently delivered a baby boy . . . he was overdue by a month, and, yes, thank goodness, I'm referring to a colt.  We visited the barn the night he was born, but his equine mother decided to let the excitement begin after we left.  Trust me, my friend sees all her horses as family so a baby card celebrating this colt's arrival is deemed appropriate.

Chocolate Chip and Taken With Teal card stock were run through a Cuttlebug and Paisley Embossing Folder and mounted side by side on Soft Sky card stock.  I then adhered Soft Sky to Taken With Teal and a card base of Chocolate Chip.  The horizontal banner is Soft Sky Textured with a snippet of Taken With Teal.  I bounced the letters for "boy" through my Cuttlebug using a die cut alphabet.

TIP: The Perfect Touch is an idea I saw Beate Johns use on Splitcoast Stampers.  I combined a Rhinestone Brad with a ribbon slide (from the new Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware).  Tr?s Chic.  The sentiment uses "New Baby" from Fundamental Phrases (Taken With Teal ink) and I layered one of the new Papertrey stamps from the anniversary set in Soft Sky.  The image is cropped with a 1 3/8" Circle Punch and layered on a background of a Chocolate Chip Scallop Circle Punch.  A touch of Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon and some Stampin' Dimensionals wrap things up.

Hugs and Pretties . . . . M
