Happy Ovals

Stampin_up_acetate
Need a quick card?  This one gets my Stamping 911 approval for being easy to assemble in 10 minutes or less.  Stampin' Up!'s Small Oval Punch is the gutsy little "Iron Man" which anchors the background, brads and sentiment for this simple card.

The card base is Aqua Mist card stock (Papertrey, but Stampin' Up!'s Soft Sky and Tempting Turquoise would be excellent alternatives).  On top is a layer of Spring Moss (Papertrey, Stampin' Up!'s River Rock would work well, too).  The bottom corners are cropped with a Corner Rounder Punch.

I punched 5 small ovals of both Aqua and Moss and adhered them to Very Vanilla which was cropped on all four corners with a Corner Rounder Punch.  A Love and Happiness Rub-On creates the sentiment along with 3 pewter brads.

A layer of acetate was dressed up with a Chocolate Chip Rub-On (Stampin' Up!'s rub-ons adhere amazingly well to most non-porous materials) and attached with a couple more pewter brads.  I added just a snippet of Very Vanilla Ribbon and a brad because I thought it needed just a little something.

Easy Schpeezy.

Hugs and Pretties . . . . Mary

  1. Hi Mary,

This is beautiful – I just may lift it 😉 Always appreciate simple and exquisite!

Hope you had a nice holiday… sorry been out of the loop for Easter as we almost lost our kitty to urine crystals but he had surgery and recovering at hospital… Wishing to send Happy Easter wishes your way 🙂

  3. Super Retro! A few friends immediately came to mind who don’t really enjoy “cutesy” stamping. They would love this–and the color combo sends it over the edge!

  6. This is an awesome card. I might CASE this idea. I had a question – the acetate is held only on one side and the other side is just open?

And another stupid question – what is acetate? I mean is it just like transparency sheets? or something else?
