Stampin’ Around

So everything needs to be round or circles?  This was a challenge I was seriously struggling with . . . until I spotted my darling tin of Build-A-Brads, heaped full of little round possibilities.  These clever inventions allow you to add your own stamped image or paper to create perfectly coordinated, custom brads, quick and simple.

The card base is Groovy Guava textured cardstock with a layer of Purely Pomegranate (also textured) plunked on top.  The lower corners of both were cropped with a Corner Rounder Punch.  The Limited Supplies Challenge (LSC155) this week requires the use of circular stamps and punches . . . no designer paper allowed.  With a number of Papertrey Ink circular stamps, I inked out a custom designer paper of dots on the top half and layered circles on the lower half.  I added 1/4" Pomegranate circles on the bottom flower centers and a couple "baby" spiral flowers for a little cohesion on the top half.

The horizontal banner enjoys the lusciousness of textured Guava and Pomegranate card stock.  The Pomegranate got into shape with my Corner Rounder punch, my favorite for making a scalloped border.  "Happy" comes from the "It’s All Good" set.  I stamped it twice on Very Vanilla, first in Guava and second in Pomegranate.  I punched the first with a 3/4" Circle Punch and the second with a 1" Circle Punch.  I then used Papertrey’s Borders and Corners dotted border circle again (Pomegranate on Guava), punched it with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch and followed up with a textured Pomegranate Scalloped Circle underneath.  Both Guava layers were popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

However, Build-A-Brad accents steal the show.  I stamped another dotted round stamp from Textboxed (Pomegranate on Vanilla), punched it out with a 1/2" Circle Punch and attached it to the Pewter brad base.  The final wow is to add the clear adhesive pebble (comes with the kit) on top for your very own designer brad.  Chic.

Hugs and Pretties . . . . M
