One Stamp Wonder

Stamping_one_stem
Only one stamp for the whole card?  The Limited Supplies Challenge LSC157 only allows the use of one flower stamp . . . no designer paper, no Cuttlebug, no background stamps, no rub-ons–just when I was falling in love with rub-ons.  Fortunately, a sentiment was optional 🙂  I love this retro stem from the Spring Solitude Bundle and decided to revisit the colors for this week’s color challenge (CC155), River Rock, Basic Black and Whisper White.  Together they comprise a clean look for this simple design.

The card base is Whisper White.  The stem was inked in River Rock and stamped on River Rock paper for a soft background.  Basic Black card stock was cut with a Curvy Cutter Circle Template (available at Create for Less . . . link at the bottom right of my blog).  Please excuse the pun but you need to know there’s a learning "curve" for this tool–this is attempt #3 . TIP:  Use removable tape to keep your card stock in place when using the cutter.   I next stepped up the drama a wee bit by using the stem with Versamark and heat embossing with Clear Embossing Powder.  A Crop-A-Dile got to do most of the hard work in setting the Pewter Jumbo Eyelets.

The main image is a single stem, dipped in Basic Black and landing on Whisper White.  I added a River Rock mat, and adhered the image with dimensionals to Whisper White card stock, previously punched with a Marvy Giga Scalloped Square Punch (again, available at Create for Less, bottom right).

The sentiment is from Hero Arts (Basic Black ink on Whisper White card stock).  It’s surrounded by a wonderful Hodgepodge hardware square slide.  A little polka dot ribbon adds the final pizzazz.

Hugs and Pretties . . . . Mary
