I’m back in the swing of taking on a couple Splitcoast Challenges, Color Challenge 150 and Sketch Challenge 160 combined. Having some color choices and a layout to work from makes it easy to get started (and eliminates the dreaded threat of "Stamper’s Block"). I try to do one or two challenges a week to keep the stamp mania juices flowing.
The "Always" "branch" was inked in Blue Bayou and stamped on a Blue Bayou card base. I then stamped and layered 3 panels of soft sky on 3 panels of Blue Bayou. All 3 were adhered to Soft Sky Textured card stock that I had "scalloped" using a corner rounder punch. A strip of Blue Bayou stitched ribbon wraps it all up neatly.
The bird (the epitome of groovy) took a dip in Versamark and is stamped on Real Red. I used white embossing powder with a heat tool, which really makes my birdie friend pop against the red. The image is matted on white and one corner is sculpted using a ticket corner punch. I stamped the "One of a Kind" triple flower in various colors and with a quick squeeze of the wrist, punched a shower of charming little flowers. The flowers were assembled on two corners (the Soft Sky with a dimensional for some texture) and two red stick-on rhinestones were added for bling.
The sentiment was a snap using the Scalloped (Blue Bayou), 1 3/8 (Real Red), 1 1/4 (Real Red ink on Whisper White) and 1/2" (Whisper White) Circle Punches. The smallest circle is stamped in Blue Bayou and gets a lift from a dimensional smack dab in the center of the "a." I then attached the entire sentiment to the card with dimensionals.
Hugs and Pretties, M
