I finally "caved" and this adorable card reinforces my decision to order the Stampin' Up! Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die (132965). Sherrie Gross, today's guest stamper and a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals Community, proves that this die can quickly enhance (in a big way) a card design. Aren't the colors Sherrie chose simply smashing together?
TIPS FROM SHERRIE! I decided to go with an ombre look due to the recent popularity in fabrics, fashion and hair coloring. The following Stampin' Up colors of Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay were perfect for this look. The pops of Daffodil Delight were used as an accent.
A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT . . . I want to thank the many guest stampers I have had recently on my blog, both members of the
Stampin' Pretty Pals Community as well as friends. My guests have pinch hit for me by sharing not only their talent and amazing projects but all the details so that you can create them yourself. The feedback I have been getting is overwhelmingly positive!
I'm doing my best to still create and share projects during the middle of my remodeling chaos (including a new stampin' studio–meanwhile I'm creating out of boxes covered in drywall dust). I'll have a Mojo Monday card ready for you tomorrow!
For more details on what's happening in My Stampin' Studio, be sure to visit my
Stampin' Pretty Facebook page. The cabinet install is scheduled for this Thursday!
Thanks Mary & Sherrie for this great card. Love the fringe scissor layers. I thought that was ribbon before I read Sherrie’s blog, which was great. You did a wonderful job placing all the hexagons. This card is great. 🙂
I am also a ‘late bloomer’ as to this hexagon die….just got it a few days ago and plan to use it often…and yes with the ombre colors…very pretty!
