Need a simple card with plenty of holiday dazzle? Today’s card may be the perfect fit! My color scheme was inspired by this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA182). See what else the PPA Resident Artists have dreamed up using these colors by clicking HERE.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- The “vavoom” factor of this card comes from the ampersand sign cropped from Stampin’ Up! Silver Glimmer Paper. I used the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies, which includes 4 dies with 26 letters, 10 numbers and the ampersand symbol.
- The ampersand symbol is popped up on bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals for 3-D drama!
- I used a Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant Stampin’ Write Marker to ink up all but the “ampersand” portion of the stamp. Apply ink with the marker (the larger “paint” end) directly to the rubber of the stamp. Then “huff” a few times to get the ink evenly moist and ready to stamp.
- MEASUREMENTS from top to bottom. Very Vanilla 3″ x 4 1/4″. Elegant Eggplant 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. Smoky Slate 4″ x 5 1/4″. Elegant Eggplant card base 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

So fabulous! Love the classy elegance of this CAS card, Mary!
Really nice, simple elegant card!
& it’s a show-stopper as usual. So simple, but with such a big, glimmery impact!
Love this card! Thanks for sharing!
I keep putting the alphabet die on my wish list, and then I promptly take it off because of the price. I don’t scrapbook, and I always wonder if I’d use the die enough on my cards to justify the cost. But I think you’ve finally convinced me that I need the die?if only for the ampersand!! (How sad is that!?) Stunning card, as usual. You have a fabulous sense of style.
Love the card, also love the newly revised site! I had no idea there was so much learning information to be found here! I am new to your site and am just amazed at the information to be found. Thank you again!
Not just vavoom, but va-va-va-voom! Love it!
Love that sparkling &!
simple & elegant!!
Neat card…the ampersand is sure eye-popping! I don’t even need my reading glasses for that one!
Love it!!!
Fun and dazzling, Mary!
TOTAL Va-voom factor going on with this card. Especially LOVE the color combination!
Good Morning Mary! Very nice card. Love the large stamp. Love the sizes of your layers showing. 🙂
What a beautiful card!!! Thanks for giving me my daily crafting inspiration each morning(along with my coffee)!!
I love this very beautiful yet simple card, Elegant Eggplant is one of my favorite shades of purple and the Silver Glimmer paper really adds a lot of bling to it. And, believe it or not, I never knew, until today that, THAT symbol was called Ampersand. I see it and even use it at times but I didn’t know what it was called. Thank you Mary, your blog is, besides awesome, a great place to learn new things.
Hi Mary, Nice colors, simply but elegant card.
