I’m back home (Tucson, AZ) after a fantastic time at the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City! It feels good to be home but I’m so energized by new Stampin’ Up! products, ideas and seeing many of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals!
COMING UP TOMORROW! I’ll be sharing the “411” on the Stampin’ Up! Annual Awards Night on tomorrow’s post. A very special night in my Stampin’ Up! career! Thanks for all your support and kind words this past year!
Let’s kick off the week with a new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO303).
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- For a twist on the Mojo Monday Sketch, I cropped the front of the card and overlapped the “love” panel.
- NEW! Speaking of love . . . this “love” sentiment is a die cut created using the Stampin’ Up! Expressions Thinlits Dies (available Aug. 1). Remember to put a little wax paper between the die and card stock (or designer series paper) for easy removal!
- NEW! Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder will undoubtedly wind up on your wish list when the Holiday Catalog begins on Aug. 1. It looks sumptuous with Crumb Cake card stock
- NEW! A touch of silver in two ways. Silver Foil Sheets (bitty butterfly and “love”) and Silver 1/8″ Ribbon dress up a card in a snap!
- There’s something about this door that I find so striking. It served as the inspiration for my color scheme (Crushed Curry, Primrose Petals, Crumb Cake).

Mary, congrats again on all your honors, all well deserved. I love the card today, especially the silver foil accents.
Congratulations to you!
Thank you for the beautiful card idea! I’ve been busy making cards in sets and I am suddenly idea-ed out, but I need to make a birthday card to mail by tomorrow! Your card is giving me ideas again!
I keep wishing that Stampin’ Up would come out with sheets of the kind of plastic that is the cling part, that usually has the image on it in clear-mount stamps. I have a bunch of stamps that I started unmounting off wood and if I could just stick the cling plastic on the back of them, I would be set! As it is, I’m piecing it together from the edges of pages of image stickers from other clear mount sets.
Congrats!!
Love this card! I need to try the sketch.
Congrats to you Mary. Your hard work pays off. You are an inspiration to thousands.
Oh my word, I just love your clever take on the sketch with the overlapped opening. Just fabulous, Mary!
Congratulations on your well-deserved awards, Mary! I was so glad to finally meet you at convention. You definitely are an inspiration to me and I love receiving your updates each day. Thanks so much for all you do and share. I have used several of your project ideas in my classes and I’m sure it’s no surprise to anyone reading this that they are always a huge hit with the ladies. Here’s to many more years of creating!

I’m so privileged to be on a design team with a SU rock star – lol! Look forward to your next post! I always love your unique color combos and this is a great one! Duh! I never thought of using a glue pen to adhere my die cut words (I’ve been using the Zig 2-way glue which sometimes adds too much glue)!
Mary, I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet you at convention and have a short chat with you! You were so kind and genuine. I had no idea that you were such a Stampin’ UP! Rock Star but I can understand why! Thank you for the inspiration you give me everyday on your blog AND the inspiration and words of wisdom you shared with me at convention. God Bless.
Love this card. I’m excited to hear about your experiences at convention. You are my go-to blog every morning with my coffee. Do tell all!
Love the card! Congrats on your achievements this past year. I’m so happy to read your blog everyday and be inspired and learn something new. Thanks a bunch.
My preference is a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. Very easy to control and rolls out just a tiny bit of glue (so no mess). You can find it on Amazon and with a google search.
Lovely card. How do you adhere the Thinlit sentiment to the cardstock? Thanks!!
