Hexagons are everywhere!  Stampin’ Up! introduced the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the new Spring Catalog and to share this hot trend.  I embossed the Very Vanilla layer to create the perfect little cubbies for the colorful hexagon inserts.

YOU ARE JUST 6 SNIPS AWAY!  I used the Stampin’ Up! Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (also new in the Spring Catalog) for the playful inserts.  Experiment with pattern!  An asymmetrical grouping is part of the charm!

STAMPIN’  PRETTY TIP:  The Honeycomb Embossing Folder works as an excellent template for snipping out the hexagons.  I created a 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial to show you how easy it can be to crop these little darlings!  For more tutorials, please visit my FREE Stampin’ Pretty Tutorial Library HERE!

  2. Mary, I think that is the one of the nicest blog hops that I’ve seen…everyone did a fabulous job and I’ve printed out several ideas for the future. Thank you to you as the head of the group!

  3. Love your card — and as I was looking I am thinking oh my — that must have taken for ever to cut all those out. Then when you shared how you got the pattern on the paper — I thought well isn’t she clever. Thanks for sharing your great tip.

  4. The first thing I thought when I saw this card, “wow, she actually cut those all out?!” and then I scrolled down and didn’t even have to hit play on the video to see that there were your hands with scissors ready to cut…I hope they come out with a punch for this FAST!

  10. Ditt what Tonya said…I wasn’t too keen on it either, but the more I see it, the more I like it. I was wondering about those cut outs; that’s a great idea because you won’t have to snip all of them, just a few. This is a great card Mary. Now, if Stampin’ Up! would only come out with a hexagon punch, we wouldn’t have to snip at all. Thanks for sharing.

  13. WOW indeed Mary, this hexagon EF is totally fabulous and your tutorial on how to cut the little hexagons is great. I love this geometrical shape, there is something about it that sets it appart from other shapes. This EF is on my list of MUST HAVES, among other things. Your card is amazing, it gives the illusion of a 3D card, the cut up hexagons look like they are floating. I hope there are enough numbers of this EF to supply the ginormous demand for it. I’m getting mine!!!!!
