  1. I own the boutique embossing machine. I just love it. It is great for doing cards. Quick and easy.
Great for travel. Very light weight.
It does a great job embossing.

  2. The boutique embossing machine will be great for someone who only wants to emboss; personally I love my dies and also have the capability of embossing too with my Big Shot. I think the talking tags are a great device for keeping in touch via voice, but I don’t have a phone that scans, so I won’t be buying them. Stampin’ up is offering some fantastic new products.

  3. That is not a bad price for an embossing machine and a folder. I prefer to have a machine that will emboss and cut.

  4. This would be a great gift for teens or kids who are just starting to get into paper crafting. This way the parents (or gifter) doesn’t have to spend so much money on the big shot and dies, they can just get this bundle with the embossing folders to get them started.

  5. I think the boutique embossing machine is charming and perfect for someone who is more interested in embossing that cutting (and may not have the Big Shot). However, I keep my Big Shot out all the time in my craft space and will continue to use it for both cutting and embossing.

  6. I think the talking tags is a great idea, So much fun! The embossing bundle dosen’t seem like such a great deal though. I love that the big shot does everything and if I bought the embosser I couldn’t use my dies.

  7. I have the big shot but I LOVE my Boutique. Since I usually do multiples of all my cards, I love being able to whip multiples out quickly and easily. I also find it easier to line up the folder when doing selective embossing. I don’t get any “shifting” like I sometimes do with the big shot.

Obviously it can’t do all a big shot can, but it it great to have if you have the space

  8. I’m really interested in the talking tags and not so much the embossing machine. I will stick with my Big Shot. The Talking Tags will be great for recording messages to send to grandparents-holiday carols. Very cool!

  9. If all your were looking for was to emboss than I guess the machine is alright. I have a big shot, so I have no desire to get one. I am not a fan of the “purse” look. Like other posters have said, I would just put the money towards a big shot. I think the talking tags are a cute idea, but I’m not interested in paying for them.

  10. Its really amazing experience with the talking tag application, can you please post the download link of this application.

  11. It’s a cute little machine, but I already have a big shot and cuttlebug so I would not invest in that. I guess if you couldn’t afford a die cut machine that would be nice so you could emboss.

  12. I’m totally in love with the tags! Very innovative!I like the embossing machine as a great way to add to your projects for a lower price point than the Big Shot. Although, I love the Big Shot so I’d recommend it over the embossing machine.

  13. I just purchased one for my oldest daughter who just finished college and has more “free” time to do some crafting. She loves texture and I know she can’t afford dies just yet so this was a great gift idea for her. Also, she doesn’t have a lot of room in her apartment for her crafting supplies so this is a nice size and won’t take up much room, plus it’s so cute she can just leave it out!

  14. I have th bigshot which does great embossing, so wouldn’t buy the embossing machine, although it is very cute looking! I would like the talking tags if you didn’t have to scan them. I think they would be great for grandparent gifts from grand children, but don’t know how many grandparents would be able to scan the barcode. I’d like to see the video on the tag. You inadvertently put two embossing machine videos up :0).

  15. I don’t see the value in the The Texture Boutique. I feel that a Big shot offers you more alternatives. If I had to decide between the two I would get a Big Shot. I love textured cards and all of the great things you can do with paper but for the price would rather put it towards what I call a more all-in-one product.

I LOVE the new talking tags…..can’t wait to order those, they are wonderful. How much fun for my friends to get a card with my voice on it.
Stampin’ Up is really doing a great job offering new innovative products!

  16. The size seems small but it’s a good price if you can’t really afford the big shot and all of the accessories!! I could see using it.

  17. This is a nice alternative if you can’t afford a Bigshot. You can still give your cards texture. Our local scrapbook store carries them and I was tempted, but decided to wait until I could get a bigshot.
