Stampin’ Up! Sweet Baby

Stampin up baby card idea nursery nest square punch envelope
My niece and her husband recently announced that they are expecting baby #2.  Therefore, it was time for Great Aunt Mary (that title always makes me feel like I'm 100–LOL) to whip up a baby card to celebrate.  The sentiment, "10 tiny fingers & 10 tiny toes," is perfect for the occasion!  Stampin' Up! punches make the "wow" effect quick and easy.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin' Up! Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper offers charming patterns to mix and match.  Rounding opposing corners on each square softens the look.
  • The Clear Bitty Buttons were adhered with Mini Glue Dots.  I layered the Jewels Basic Pearls on top for a soft accent and to minimize any signs of the glue dot below the button.
  • Adding the coordinating bird pattern (also Nursery Nest DSP) to the envelope flap makes the arrival of this card in the mail even more of a stand out!

  1. Happy Birthday! I love your card. . .and grandbaby number 5 is on the way for me in June. Time to be thinking of baby announcements and thank you cards. By the way, my order came a day early, today! And, it was raining/snowing and UPS had the box wrapped in a plastic bag. Nice!

  3. Love that it’s appropriate for either gender and not too baby-ish. Thanks again for your inspiration!

  5. Oh, so sweet, Mary! What a great way to use favorite DSP! And I love the itty bitty buttons with the pearls. For someone who does not have the buttons, I wonder if the bitty punches with clear sheets would give a similar look? Will experiment later (not that I don’t have the itty bitty buttons, LOL)

Is your niece someone we know? 🙂
