  1. I like this idea! I really love the in Colors and wanted them to be added to the lineup. I have thought that the colors (and some other things) are getting outdated at Stampin up so I am glad to see this. It is an investment and it will take some time to get my stock up but I would rather have newer hip colors than out dated ones.

  2. I am not happy one bit. I heard they are experiencing problems with the economy. So my first thought was, ‘what a great way to generate alot of sales’. It’s a definite possibility in these times, don’t be fooled by those that want to continue raking in the success when things go down. They were on top big time and money is the reason behind all business decisions, don’t kid yourselves.

I don’t know if this is true, it may be a great marketing idea. And what choice would their demos and customers who love their paper have? Stock up big time? or buy new colours now!

I have really loved the SU paper quality and colours. They all go together very well. I am loosing most of these, most my ‘go to’ colours!

SU I’m mad at you! There are alot of new companies coming out with matching paper and inks now, SU is not the only one now. I may switch based on this!

  3. I really do respect all the time and effort that went into the color changes, and I know it is impossible to please everyone. However, I was just wondering why there are so many shades of brown(5) and only 3 or so purples. It just seems like some color families are lacking enough variation. Over all, I do think it will all come together as soon as as know the new “In” colors and adjust to the changes. I was wondering if you could shed any light on how some of the changes came to be.

  4. Thank you so much for providing this info. (It would be nice of SU! to put something like this on their website.) I’m with some of your other commenter. Does someone at SU! have something against lavendar/purple? Some of the new colors sound great and I’m glad Kraft will have an ink and Baja is coming back. Wish Kiwi would return.

  5. It took years to build up all the colors in paper, pads, markers, etc. Huge financial blow losing so many at one time. May force me out of SU. Times are just too hard in our area.

  6. Thank you for posting this information…it’s a nice head’s up for those of us that don’t have the money to “waste” on re-stocking like I was about to do. There’s no sense in it! I love Pink Pirouette and was just telling my SU demonstrator a month or two ago that I wish that would come back.

  7. I am super excited about the change. So many of the previous colors I never used, so outdated. Love the fact that they incorporated the in colors (they told us to hang on to them for a reason)and that the collections are a little smaller. I’m already reorganizing my paper files and will be stocking up the new collections. Way to go stampin up I feel so motivated.

  8. Hmmm since there is very little purple in the core colors I wonder if that’s what the in colors will have? I’m happy and sad with the color changes.

  9. I like the new colors. I like the idea of 40 instead of 48. But, losing so many at one time does feel like money down the drain. Also, it will now take more money to buy all the new colors. I had just got to all 48 colors of pads. At least I haven’t bought the re-inkers and markers yet. Thanks for the updated information. River Rock was always my favorite and it was the only In Color pad I did buy.

  10. On one hand I like the new colors and on the other I just bought the whole set of Writers. I am kinda disappointed that there wasn’t a better way to let us know, instead of last minute. I would have waited before I purchased the writers. Thank goodness I didn’t invest in too many ink pads, however I did invest in all the stampin spots and ink refills to match. So now what? Alas I guess change is inevitable but I do also feel this is now money down the drain.

  11. I like! This looks like more of a color palette that I would use. The only comment I have is that there aren’t a lot of purples … out with the old, in with the new!

  12. May I ask why my post was taken off? I am disappointed in su taking 30 colors at one time. What do you do with all the pads pens when your card stock runs out. As I said before it took me several years to get all the colors.

  13. I think it is great, I love the new colors. Red riding hood is one of my favs. But my question is, what do I do with all the inks I have with no paper to match?? I guess I could use them on neuteral colors. Are they going to have packages to get all the new colors?

Hi Rebekka: You could either stock up on card stock before they retire July 1 or play with the inks . . . with white, vanilla, mix and match. Hugs, M

  14. Not very happy about this…just purchased the marker set & paper in all the colors and now they are changing a lot of them. Feels like money down the drain to me!

  16. I’m excited about some of the new colors being added and sad to see others going. I sure wish they would have brought back Soft Sky and Cool Carribean! I’m almost out and use these colors a lot!

  17. I’m SUPER EXCITED! I spent the day reorganizing my office.
SO many of the retiring colors were colors I’ve NEVER used.
    Change is good.

  18. I am feeling a bittersweet about this. I love the new colors and arrangement, and the fact that they have incorporated many older In Colors, but I will miss many of the retiring colors dreadfully! I will need to stock up on Coral, Teal, and Lilac for sure!!

  19. One observation: the new list seems EXTREMELY heavy on pinks and reds, while there have ended up being only three shades of purple, and then only if you count rich razzleberry. I am excited to see some of the new colors in person, though, and can’t wait to see the In Colors.
