Outside inspiration rules today. I got the color and background ideas from Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge IC113. The rug in the furniture collection reminds me of the Stampin’ Up! True Friend stamp which I used as a background. The layout was inspired by this divine lemon tree card designed by Debbie Olson of Thinking Inking.
I started with a So Saffron base. I next adhered a layer of Whisper White card stock inked in So Saffron and brought it to it’s full potential with the True Friend stamp. I’m a symmetry girl, so I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to create a consistent background pattern. The flower hearts (Jet Black Stazon) and overlay solid heart (Soft Sky) are from Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Said. The stems are a dotted line image from Papertrey’s Faux Ribbon set. I used a Sakura Black Gelly Pen to add some shine action to the stems and dots within the hearts.
My ticket corner punch went to work on the corners of the focal image and, likewise, with the So Saffron mat. Both were attached to Soft Sky card stock and Rhinestone Brads sparkle with delight in the corners. The sentiment is also from Papertrey Faux Ribbon, snapped out with the small oval punch and matted on the large (in So Saffron). I had some cute little blue flower brads that seemed to be the perfect "jazz" on either side. The sentiment is given a little 3-D with some dimensionals and Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon wraps things up neatly.
